1. Core Privacy Philosophy: Ephemeral Edge Processing
AnswerRail is designed from first principles around data minimization and zero persistent visitor logging. When an AI search bot or human browser requests a proxied domain, AnswerRail compiles HTML into Markdown in-memory within isolated Cloudflare V8 isolates. We do not persist, log, or store your website visitors' personal data, IP addresses, cookies, or browser payloads to disk or external databases.
2. Information We Collect
A. Customer Account & Provisioning Data
When you register for an AnswerRail license or add a domain, we store:
- Your administrative contact email address;
- Cryptographically generated Sovereign License Keys;
- Configured domain hostnames and origin targets;
- Stripe Customer and Subscription Identifiers (payment card details are processed directly by Stripe and never touch AnswerRail servers).
B. Aggregated Edge Telemetry
To power the Live Telemetry Stream and verify bot performance, AnswerRail logs non-identifiable, aggregated technical metrics:
- Request timestamp and HTTP status code;
- AI crawler User-Agent identifier (e.g.
PerplexityBot/1.0); - URL path requested (e.g.
/pricing); - Token compression metrics (raw HTML size vs compiled Markdown byte count).
3. How Information Is Used
Customer data is used strictly for:
- Routing and authenticating reverse proxy traffic at Cloudflare Anycast edge locations;
- Enforcing subscription tier domain quotas and rate limits;
- Providing real-time audit reports and client-facing executive summaries;
- Delivering critical infrastructure service notifications and security alerts.
We never sell, rent, monetize, or broker customer data or website traffic data to third-party data brokers, advertising networks, or AI model training datasets.
4. Infrastructure Subprocessors
AnswerRail relies on trusted, industry-leading infrastructure partners:
- Cloudflare, Inc.: Global Anycast network, V8 isolate execution, and Workers KV storage.
- Stripe, Inc.: Secure payment processing, recurring billing, and tax compliance (PCI-DSS Level 1 certified).
5. Data Retention & Deletion Rights (GDPR & CCPA)
You have the absolute right to view, export, or permanently erase your account and domain configurations at any time.
When a domain is purged or deleted in your Developer Studio Console, its KV records are instantly invalidated across
all edge nodes. To request complete deletion of all customer account records, email
privacy@answerrail.com.
