Terms of Service
Effective Date: October 3, 2026 · Version 2.4
1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using the edge proxy services, application interfaces, and documentation provided by AnswerRail ("AnswerRail", "we", "us", or "our", operated as part of The Quite Good Project), you ("Customer", "you", or "your") agree to be legally bound by these Terms of Service. If you are entering into this agreement on behalf of a company or legal entity, you represent and warrant that you have the authority to bind such entity.
2. Edge Proxy Services & Architecture
AnswerRail provides an Anycast edge reverse proxy and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) infrastructure engine. When routed via DNS CNAME or reverse proxy routing, AnswerRail intercepts incoming HTTP requests from verified artificial intelligence search engines (including PerplexityBot, OAI-SearchBot, ClaudeBot, and other designated crawlers) and client requests expressing markdown preferences (RFC 9110).
AnswerRail executes in-memory Abstract Syntax Tree (AST) compilation, transforms origin HTML into semantic Markdown, and extracts Schema.org structured microdata at the edge. Standard human browser traffic is passed through directly to your origin server without modification.
3. Acceptable Use & Customer Obligations
You agree not to use AnswerRail to:
- Proxy, host, or disseminate malicious code, deceptive malware, phishing lures, or unlawful content;
- Circumvent or tamper with rate limits, telemetry counters, or edge licensing controls;
- Route domains or hostnames for which you lack lawful administrative authorization or ownership;
- Cause intentional denial of service or network degradation to Cloudflare Anycast infrastructure or third-party origins;
- Violate intellectual property rights or applicable local, national, or international regulations.
4. Subscriptions, Tier Quotas & Metering
AnswerRail is billed on a recurring monthly or annual subscription basis via our authorized payment processor (Stripe). Each plan tier specifies an authorized quota of production domains and monthly edge bot request limits:
| Plan Tier | Monthly Rate | Included Domains | Monthly AI Bot Requests |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starter Node | $99 / month | 3 Domains | 100,000 requests |
| Growth SaaS | $249 / month | 10 Domains | 750,000 requests |
| Agency Fleet | $599 / month | 35 Domains | 3,500,000 requests |
| Enterprise Scale | $1,499 / month | 100+ Domains | 15,000,000 requests |
Requests exceeding tier limits will not be blocked; instead, overages may be billed at $0.15 per 1,000 requests or prompt an automatic recommendation to upgrade to the appropriate tier.
5. Service Availability & Edge SLA
AnswerRail targets a 99.99% Anycast edge availability SLA for Agency and Enterprise customers. Because AnswerRail functions as a reverse proxy, AnswerRail is not responsible for downtimes, latency, or 5xx status codes originating directly from your underlying web server, hosting provider, or DNS registrar.
6. Intellectual Property & Content Ownership
You retain 100% ownership and all intellectual property rights in the content, HTML, assets, and data served from your origin servers. AnswerRail claims zero ownership over your content. You grant AnswerRail a limited, worldwide license solely to ingest, cache, transform, and deliver your content to requesting user-agents in accordance with your proxy settings.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall AnswerRail, its affiliates, directors, or employees be liable for any indirect, punitive, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, including without limitation damages for loss of profits, goodwill, use, data, or search engine ranking fluctuations, arising out of or relating to the use of or inability to use the service.
8. Governing Law & Contact
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. For any inquiries
